PowerPoint 2021 has just made it easier to work with digital ink. With new additions in the Draw tab, you can now access all of your tools from one place and quickly change their colors without ever having to open another app! Simplify how you work with ink using a new Draw tab, which contains tools like the Point Eraser and Lasso.

Ink Replay

In PowerPoint 2021, you can replay your ink strokes as they were drawn. This is a great way to illustrate things step by step or show how an idea came about with multiple steps that are played back. Viewers of the presentation can watch your strokes from beginning until end to illustrate thought process, steps, and more.

Enhanced color picker

In PowerPoint 2021, Microsoft has added a new input field for color values in the Colors dialog. No more need to convert between RGB and HEX formats! For any property where you can define colors on your slides or objects, you now have an option of entering them as their respective HEX codes such as #0F4C81 (Red), or 444 (Dark Gray).

Sketched style outline

Sketched style outline is now available in PowerPoint 2021. You can give a casual, hand-drawn look to shapes with this new feature and it’s easy as pie! Try out the Curved, Freehand, or Scribble options for some unique looks to add interesting visual touches to your presentations.

Microsoft Search

With Microsoft Search, find what you need in PowerPoint 2021 with one click. The new Microsoft Search box is located at the top of your app on Windows, and provides powerful features to help users quickly locate any information they are looking for from text files or commands that would otherwise require hours scouring through online documentation.

Screen-reader compatibility

In order to make your slides compatible with screen readers, you can place the elements on them in a way that’s easy to understand when read out loud. This will help users reliant on screen readers understand and absorb what’s on screen as well as retain information better than ever before!

Support for OpenDocument format

New in PowerPoint 2021 is expanded support for the OpenDocument file format (ODF), which supports many new features. This specification was updated with version 1.3 from ODF 1.2 to include even more capabilities than before!
